A substantial American sideboard by Stanley Furniture, crafted in richly grained pecan wood. The three-door façade features deeply moulded geometric panelling, giving the piece an almost architectural quality, balanced by its long, low proportions.
Original sculptural metal hardware punctuates each door, while the stepped plinth base and moulded top add to its strong, traditional form. The warm pecan timber has a beautiful depth and variation throughout.
A particularly handsome example of 1970s American furniture — decorative without feeling overly formal, and an easy piece to mix with contemporary, European or more minimal interiors.
