Henning Kjærnulf Round Table EG Kvalitetsmøbel, Denmark
Coming November
An extendable oak dining table by Danish designer Henning Kjærnulf for EG Kvalitetsmøbel, dating from the 1970s.
Crafted in solid oak, the table features Kjærnulf’s distinctive carved detailing, with sculptural turned legs, a softly scalloped apron and a rounded top. The decorative elements give the piece a slightly folk-like character while retaining the simplicity and functionality of Danish design.
The table extends to form two generous oval dining table shape, allowing it to move easily between everyday dining and larger gatherings. The natural oak has a beautiful warmth and visible grain throughout.
A characterful example of Kjærnulf’s more expressive work from the period, and particularly lovely paired with his carved oak dining chairs.
