Arco Rattan Bamboo Armchair, Germany 1960s
Arriving Late July
A sculptural set of four rattan dining chairs produced by Arco in Germany during the 1970s. Defined by their sweeping looped arms and continuous bent-rattan frames, the chairs embody the relaxed modernism that characterised European organic design of the period.
Handwoven rattan seats and backs provide both comfort and durability, while the fluid silhouette gives the chairs a light, architectural presence. Equally suited to a dining setting, sunroom, or covered outdoor space, they bring warmth and texture without overwhelming an interior.
The honey-toned patina developed over decades enhances the natural character of the material, highlighting the craftsmanship and timeless appeal of these pieces. A beautiful example of 1970s German design where practicality and sculptural form meet effortlessly.
