Ceramic Plinth by Alison Frith
Inspired by the need for function yet the desire for considered design, Frith created the Ceramic Plinth. Made entirely by hand, this item not only serves as a stylish side table for drinks, plants and precious items; but as a stand alone sculptural object.
Each plinth is wheel thrown, with composite pieces formed and joined together. Once constructed, Frith meticulously turns each piece to reveal an elegant profile. Subtle variations of the hand mean no two items are identical.
Frith employs various clay-bodies and glazes to achieve multiple finishes. Measurements vary due to the handmade nature of this object. Made in Melbourne.
