Droplet, MakeBelieve

The Droplet; the table lamp version of the drop lamp inspired by early modernist sculptures such as Barancusi’s Endless Column. Playing with abstract forms, we wanted to explore the use of light and how it would fall on this organically shaped object. The soft curves of the lamp and lustrous finish makes it a playful and inviting presence. Taking on its own personality the Drop Lamp elicits imagination and brings a sense of calm and elegance to the room.

Hand made here in Melbourne. Materials; Turned bulbous wooden stem, Gloss paint enamelling with spun metal shade, floor lamp switch white/black cord.
