French Bespoke Oak Sideboard with Marble Top, c.1950's

$6,850

COMING SOON END MARCH

A commanding example of French mid-century craftsmanship, this bespoke Oak sideboard reflects the sculptural sensibility seen in the work of Gaston Poisson and Charles Dudouyt.

The façade is defined by two monumental panelled doors, each centred with a striking hand carved grid of raised cubes that create depth, shadow. The chamfered framing and bold proportions feel distinctly Dudouyt in spirit, while the refined symmetry and decorative restraint nod to Poisson’s more structured modernism.

Rounded, fluted corners soften the silhouette, adding a subtle Art Deco undertone. The solid oak has matured to a warm honeyed tone, with expressive grain throughout.
